Log Mulch
Log Mulch (also called Natural Log Mulch, Shredded Log Mulch, or Undyed Log Chip Mulch) is a coarse, natural shredded or chipped mulch made from logs, tree limbs, and wood debris without dyes or additives. It typically has a medium-to-large texture with pieces ranging from 1–3 inches.
It provides a rustic, earthy brown/wood tone that blends naturally into landscapes, excellent moisture retention, weed suppression, and soil enrichment as it decomposes slowly.
Common uses include:
- Large garden beds, tree rings, shrub borders, and foundation plantings for a natural woodland appearance.
- Slopes, hillsides, and erosion control areas where its coarser texture holds in place better.
- Pathways, commercial landscapes, and areas needing long-lasting coverage without color fading.
- Sustainable landscaping and soil improvement projects in the East Bay.
- General mulching where a budget-friendly, undyed organic option is preferred over dyed varieties.
It is coarser and more natural-looking than Mini Black Log Mulch or Black Log Mulch, making it ideal for larger areas and eco-friendly applications.
